    103450 - Junior Soccer Workshops

    Soccer players who are just starting will learn the fundamentals of this fun and exciting sport. The fundamentals of kicking, ball handling, passing, and kicking into a goal will be taught through our beginner workshop. Every workshop will emphasize different skills so participants will be able to grow a diverse set of skills with each workshop.

    Participants must provide their own soccer ball to participate in the workshops. All workshops will be outdoors, so please apply sunscreen to your child before class. Safety guidelines will be followed throughout the class, such as wearing masks when not exercising, maintaining a 6-ft distance between participants, no physical contact between participants, no scrimmaging, and sanitizing equipment through each use. If inclement weather arises, the workshop may be canceled. You will be notified via email if a make-up class will be made available or if a refund will be issued.

    103451 - Advanced Soccer Workshops

    Soccer players who have played a couple of seasons will focus on improving their kicking, ball handling, passing, and game skills through these workshops. Every workshop will emphasize different skills so participants will be able to grow a diverse set of skills with each workshop.

    118102 - Tennis Lessons Red Ball Age 7-9

    Whether you are new to tennis or looking to continue to improve your overall game, this class will teach you all the tennis fundamentals. You will learn proper technique on volleys, ground strokes, and serves. By the end of each session you will be playing real matches and be able to rally several balls from baseline to baseline. This class is taught on a 36 foot court, using a red ball which has 25% the bounce and weight of a regular tennis ball. Students should have a 23 inch raquet which can be purchased from our pro shop.

    118104 - Tennis Lessons Orange Ball Age 9-11

    Orange Ball classes are taught on a 60' court and use Orange Ball which has 50% bounce and weight of a regular tennis ball. This class is designed for students who have proper technique and can consistently serve and rally and have been promoted from Red Ball 7-9. You will continue to improve all volleys, ground strokes, serves, match play, and will be introduced to lobs, overheads, and proper footwork. Students should have a 25" racquet which can be purchased from our pro shop.

    118106 - Tennis Lessons Green Dot Age 10-12

    This class is for students who are new to tennis or need more development on their volleys, ground strokes, and serves. Stroke development, proper footwork, and match play will be a major emphasis. This class is taught on the full 78' tennis court and uses a greendot ball which has 75% the bounce and weight of a regular tennis ball. Students should have a 26" racquet which can be purchased from our pro shop.

    118120 - Developmental Excellence

    CCAC's Junior Excellence Program is for students who are ready to take their game to the next level. This program will increase the amount of tennis you play, allowing you to develop quicker. In the EX Program the pro to student ratio is lower allowing for more individual attention. You will continue to improve all facets of the game as you work towards becoming a more serious tennis player.

    This class is designed to take skilled juniors and bring them to the next level in their tennis development. The focus of the class will be in developing fitness, point construction, competitive mental attitude, and tournament preparation. Students will use a traditional yellow tennis ball on a full 72' tenis court.

    Class is restricted to CCAC members only. Call for fee information.

    202203 - E-Learning Kids Club- Morning

    -E-Learning Kids Club offers a safe and supervised environment for your child to complete their virtual schooling.
    -Half day, full day, and extended day options available.
    -Counselors are not educators but will do their best to assist participants with classwork and questions.
    -Electronics are not provided, and headphones are required. Please pack necessary chargers daily.
    -Children should bring all supplies, textbooks, and workbooks needed to complete their classwork.
    -Children will be utilizing the park districts “public Wi-Fi”. Parents are encouraged to talk with their children prior to the program to instruct which sites their child should be accessing. Counselors will do their best to monitor usage.

    Registration & Payments:

    -Register online at hpparks.org or by calling 630-834-2468. In-person registration is not available at this time.
    -Registration will be taken by month. (August/September and October). Additional sessions will be added if e-learning continues for local school districts.
    -Those wishing to stay all day must register for Morning Club and Afternoon Club.
    -Those registering for 3 or 4 day options must come the same days each week.
    -Refunds will not be given for unused day, except in the case that school resumes in person learning earlier than planned, or a child has tested positive for or been exposed to COVID-19.
    -You may pay in full or opt for a bi-weekly payment plan. Those choosing a payment plan must register by phone.
    -Prior to the program beginning, you will receive a parent manual and emergency form via email. Emergency forms must be turned in on or prior to the first day of the program.

    COVID-19 Safety Procedures:

    The health and safety of Hanover Park Park District participants and staff is our top priority. We will be following a combination of guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), as they apply to schools and childcare, including:
    -Face coverings required unless eating or outside with proper distancing.
    -Follow physical distancing guidelines of 6 feet, as appropriate.
    -Minimize shared supplies, toys, and equipment.
    -Frequent hand washing and/or hand sanitizing.
    -Staff and participants will self-certify that they are not experiencing symptoms at the start of each day.
    -Regular and frequent cleaning and disinfecting of supplies, equipment, and physical spaces.
    -Curbside drop off and pick up.
    -Zero-tolerance behavior policy..
    -Parents, guardians, or other authorized individuals must pick up ill students within a reasonable amount of time.
